Sometimes I find myself getting rather irritated at how much time I have to waste because others fail to do things properly, that's definitely been the case this week. My friends have often heard me say that it's a good job I'm not a politician because I would make time wasting a capital offence!! It got me to thinking just how precious time is, there's not a fortune in the world that can buy it. Those of us that CAN find the time have riches of another kind. Out of those thoughts came this piece...
It's made with a very recent Sizzix Thinlets decorative border die. I cut it from TEN seconds studio craft metal then again twice from an old cardboard box and stuck the layers together to give it depth and strength. I used a metal pattern wheel around the outside of the clock face then 'tarnished' it all using black acrylic paint.
The face is stamped using a B Line stamp onto untreated silver craft metal sheet, stuck to the back of the die cut and then gently pressed out with a paper stump.
I added a silver metal scrapping word, hung some charms where the brads would normally go and added a few clear crystal gems. The simple addition of a ribbon wound through the top of the filigree means it can be hung on the wall.
I hope you like this simple but effective idea. I'm entering it for this weeks challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow which is 'Metal Mania' and at Simon Says Stamp and Show where the challenge is 'Metal-ology'.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by (sorry about the unintentional pun [g]. Your comments are welcome. Chris xx

Wow, Chris, this is simply wonderful! I love your verdigris clock - genius use of the die-cut. I've looked at these, or similar ones a couple of times, but always swerved away... you're putting very evil shopping thoughts in my head again!
